That is how I like it most: Look at the piece first and it gives you the impression of perfect symetry.
Look at it closer and you see, it is covering the same space with different knots.
Also notice the accuracy in the weaving. The old patterns have a very clear rhythm: over and under, up and down, not two over, one under, three over...whatever :)
That is in my opinion in all humbleness, what separates the amateur from the professional, the feeling for rhythm...
